Controversial Book on Royal Family Sparks Tensions Within the Palace

2 min read

A controversial book about the Royal Family is causing quite a stir within the walls of Buckingham and Kensington Palace. Omid Scobie’s “Endgame,” set to be released soon, has already sparked tensions within the Royal Family, particularly between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The book promises to “pull back the curtain on an institution in turmoil,” and has already made some bombshell claims. It criticizes King Charles III as an “unpopular king” and Prince William as a “power-hungry heir to the throne.” Although the palaces are keeping mum on the matter, the book’s allegations have caused significant upheaval, with claims of palace intrigue and damaging briefings that have led to “irreparable damage in the relations between Princes Harry and William.”

But the controversy doesn’t end there. Despite being previously seen as close to the duchess, Omid Scobie has stated that he did not interview Meghan for the book and that “the Sussexes have nothing to do with” its publication. The duke and duchess’s representatives have also chosen to remain silent on the book’s claims of palace intrigue and briefings.

However, there are questions about the accuracy of the book’s content. Some have raised concerns about potential inaccuracies and conspiracy theories present in “Endgame.” Buckingham and Kensington Palace’s refusal to comment, in this case, adds to the mystery surrounding the book and its explosive allegations.

The liberal US newspaper, The New York Times, known for its sympathy towards the Sussexes, has surprisingly criticized the book, comparing it to an AI bot’s writing and declaring that Scobie does no favors to Harry and Meghan. The paper referred to a chapter on the couple as reading “like a press release cooked up by ChatGPT.” It also mentioned that the book is not all that different from what Harry presented in “Spare” and seems devoted to setting the record straight on what it perceives to be petty slights against the Sussexes.

It remains to be seen how the release of “Endgame” will affect the already strained relations within the Royal Family. With bombshell claims and controversy surrounding its content, Omid Scobie’s book is sure to reignite debates and stir up more tensions between key members of the monarchy.
