In his first year at the helm, Rezendes directed Mashpee’s boys basketball team to a 7-12 record and is determined to build up the program. Rezendes, along with Bob Catalini, is offering a Co-Ed Skills Clinic from June 24-28 at Mashpee High School. The registration fee is $135 for the week or $30 per day, and it’s open for boys and girls in grades fourth through 12th. In a thrilling encounter, a local couple in Westport had an extraordinary experience while out on the waters last weekend. Perry and Carmel Long encountered about a half a dozen sharks, with one of the sharks nearly double the size of their 18-foot Tripp Angler boat. Despite the heart-stopping moments, Perry Long expressed excitement about the encounter and hopes for more such experiences in the future. Their remarkable encounter adds a thrilling touch to the local news and highlights the awe-inspiring wonders of the natural world.
