Priscilla Presley, the 79-year-old actress, is making headlines after filing a lawsuit against four of her former business associates, accusing them of financial elder abuse and fraud. The complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges that the defendants perpetrated a “meticulously planned” financial abuse and coerced her into signing contracts that ultimately led to the misappropriation of more than $1 million of her funds.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Fox News Digital, Presley named Brigitte Kruse, Kevin Fialko, Vahe Sislyan, and Lynn Walker Wright as the key defendants. She claimed that she was duped into signing contracts that granted them 80% of her income, alleging that they meticulously planned to defraud her. The lawsuit includes accusations of financial elder abuse, fraud in the inducement, breach of fiduciary duty, and legal malpractice.

The complaint described the defendants’ actions as a form of indentured servitude, forcing Presley to work so that they could receive the majority of any revenue she could earn in the future. The filing specifically pointed out Brigitte Kruse as a “con-artist and pathological liar” who fraudulently induced Presley into signing the contracts that ultimately resulted in substantial financial loss.

In a statement to USA TODAY, the lawyers for Presley’s claim that the associates behind an LLC established in her name fraudulently coerced her into giving them power of attorney, control over her family and personal trusts, and control over her bank accounts over a span of two years. The lawsuit alleges that the managers of Priscilla Presley Partners, LLC, conspired to drain her of her financial resources by gaining her trust, isolating her from important people in her life, and duping her into believing that they would take care of her, while their real intent was to deplete her finances.

The case has garnered significant attention, shedding light on the issue of financial elder abuse and the vulnerability of older individuals in business dealings. Presley’s bold move to seek legal redress highlights the importance of protecting the financial rights of elderly individuals and raising awareness about such reprehensible practices. The lawsuit serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the need for vigilance and safeguards to prevent financial exploitation, particularly of vulnerable elderly individuals.
