The rescue team, lauded the seal pup’s tenacity by calling it “wiggly” and “feisty,” highlighting its fighting spirit. The Alliance members kept the seal pup safe until they were able to crate it and transport it to a secluded spot on Quidnet Beach. There, the pup could rest and recuperate before returning to the sea when it was ready.
The organization updated the public about the successful rescue on their social media page, sharing heartwarming photos of the seal pup as it was being crated and then released in a safe location. Pam Murphy, the Alliance’s board president, described how the seal pup had been found on Polpis Road, crying out for help. The rescue effort involved a bit of bushwhacking to ensure the safe transportation of the youngster to Quidnet, where it could rest undisturbed and make its way back into the sea once it had regained its strength.
