The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 commenced on 10th January in Gandhinagar, marking a significant bounce-back for the state, following the cancellation of the 2021 edition due to pandemic restrictions. The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, is set to be held from January 10-12 under the theme ‘Gateway to the Future.’ Notable participants include 34 partner countries, 16 partner organizations, prominent world leaders, and CEOs of multinationals from various nations.
During the summit, PM Modi is slated to engage in bilateral talks with the CEOs of major global firms, addressing key players such as Suzuki Motor Corp’s Toshihiro Suzuki, AP Moller’s Keith Svendsen, and Micron Technology’s Sanjay Mehrotra, as well as Rasna Private Limited Chairman Piruz Khambatta. Additionally, prominent Indian business figures like Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Natarajan Chandrasekaran are expected to be in attendance.
One of the main highlights of the event is the commitment to business cooperation, with the summit aiming to facilitate potential partnerships. The 2015 and 2017 summits witnessed substantial Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed, with a significant percentage materializing into deals. Officials remain optimistic, targeting a 90% conversion rate for this year’s MoUs.
In parallel, offerings at the event aim to provide opportunities for investment and financial growth, allowing participants to invest in bonds issued by top corporates, PSU Banks, and NBFCs, with the potential to earn attractive returns. Trading enthusiasts can also unlock their potential by benefiting from SEBI-registered experts, gaining insights and access to curated market data, independent equity analysis, and actionable investment ideas.
The summit also witnessed Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani reaffirming the company’s enduring ties to Gujarat, echoing the sentiments of his father, Dhirubhai Ambani. Ambani pledged significant investments in Gujarat over the next decade, emphasizing the state’s progress towards fulfilling half of its green energy requirements by 2030. Furthermore, he underscored the ongoing construction of the Dhirubhai Ambani Giga Complex.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 constitutes a platform for economic cooperation, international engagement, and investment opportunities, painting a promising picture for the future of Gujarat’s economic landscape.
